2009/June/11 MarketWarrior 4.6.367 is now available. This version has several fixes and is available for free to current users. Select the MarketWarrior menu Help->Check For Updates.

2009/May/17 MarketWarrior 4.6.363 and the utility program Data Downloader 1.0.22 have a major upgrade for Barchart.com users. The new version 1.0.22 of the Data Downloader has a symbol list manager for Barchart.com symbols. This will allow futures symbols to be added to a symbol list very quickly. There is also a huge number of stock symbols grouped by sector that can be added to you custom symbol lists. The picture below shows the built-in symbol list that holds expired Soybean Oil symbols. All the Soybean Oil symbols available through a Barchart.com subscription are listed in this symbol list.


The picture below shows some of the built-in symbol lists that hold the expired futures symbols. There are 115 different lists that hold all the symbols for expired future contracts available through Barchart.com.



The picture below shows the new symbol lists that hold stock symbols grouped by sector. To upgrade to this new version you should select the 'check for updates' menu in the Data Downloader first. After you look at the Data Downloader about-box and see that you are using version 1.0.22 then you should use the 'check for update' menu in MarketWarrior. 2009/April/18 Below is a new chart be created using the MarketWarrior Bradley Siderograph indicator. The Siderograph is a planet index used to forecast the financial markets. The original Siderograph was created for the major stock markets and this is the version used on the chart below. The data used in this chart is the S&P500 index from Barchart.com symbol $INX. You can see the stock market followed the Siderograph down into early 2009. Now in early 2009 the Siderograph makes a bottom and moves up into the summer. Based on this planet index I would expect the stock market to rally into late July.



2009/April/17 We are incrementally upgrading the MarketWarrior free trail tutorial. The tutorial can be opened by selecting the menu Help->Open Trial Tutorial" in the free trial. The newest version of MarketWarrior is build 360. If you own MarketWarrior you can upgrade to the new version by selecting the auto-update menu. This new version has several fixes for opening old charts that have data from a real-time data service.

2009/April/03 MarketWarrior 4.6.356 has a new upgraded planetary aspect indicator. The new indicator will draw aspects by stacking them vertically when there is more than one aspect to display. If you own MarketWarrior 4.6 you can upgrade to build 356 by selecting the check for updates menu. If you do not have version 4.6 send us an email and we will return upgrade instructions.


2009/Mar/06 We selected Barchart.com to work with MarketWarrior 4.6 because Barchart.com offers one of the best values of any real-time data service. I have been subscribing to data services for almost 20 years so let me take a moment and explain why Barchart.com is a good value. First, the base subscription price for Barchart.com is only $39 + exchange fees which includes the ability to have third party software access the data. Other real-time data services that offer this type of low starting price lock the data into their web site display, and do not allow any third party access. When third party access is made available it requires a substantial additional fee. Barchart.com is the only real-time data service to combined a low starting price and third party access. Second, Barchart.com has a good selection of data packages to help a trader subscribe to what they want and keep their data costs low. For example, look at the image from the Barchart.com sign-up page below. They have a $10/mo data package for CBOT Mini contracts while other data services require you to subscribe to the full CBOT data package to get the mini contracts. Also notice Barchart.com has created a data package of "1 Minute Snapshot" for CBOT futures contracts for only $15/mo. Third, when you subscribe to a Barchart.com real-time subscription, the other markets are provided to you on a 15-20 minute delayed bases. Other data services make you pay extra to receive delayed data from additional markets. Fourth, the real-time subscriber can access the Barchart.com daily, weekly and monthly data which includes their history of perpetual continuous futures contracts and perpetual nearest futures contracts. Traditionally data services consider perpetual futures to be a premium item and charge extra for accessing this type of data. Master Charts and Other Special Charts

MarketWarrior can draw Gann's Square of 9 master chart. This chart is the basis for many of Gann's forecasting methods. The Square of 9 is fully described in the book "The Definitive Guide to Forecasting Using W.D.Gann's Square of Nine". To see a few pictures of the MarketWarrior Square of 9 Click Here In addition to the actual Square of 9, MarketWarrior also has 15 indicaotors that can be applied to price bar charts and correlate with the chapters in the, The Definitive Guide to Forecasting Using W.D.Gann's Square of Nine.

One of W.D. Gann's master charts that is lesser known, is the Square of 4. MarketWarrior can draw the Square of 4 and allows for a variety of setting changes. The MarketWarrior Square of 4 also has the ability to draw the planet position around the outer rind or on the face of the Square of 4. Drawing the overlay lines that Gann used with his market analysis methods is also possible. MarketWarrior has added the ability to draw W.D. Gann's Hexagon chart. MarketWarrior has sevela indicators that can be applied to the Hexagon chart. There is an indicator for drawing the clear overlay lines that Gann used when analyzing the markets, drawing shape overlay lines and drawing the planets on the Hexagon chart. The MarketWarrior Hexahon chart can also load a off-line data file and can circle the high and low pivots to see where the tops and bottoms fell on the Hexagon chart.

MarketWarrior has added the ability to draw W.D. Gann's Circle Chart of 24. Just like the other MarketWarrior master charts the Circle Chart of 24 can load a off-line data file and can circle the high and low pivot prices. This allows a trader to study how the market pivot prices are falling on the Circle Chart. There are also indicators for drawing the overlay angles and the planets on the Circle Chart. The MarketWarrior program can draw a double horoscope. This double horoscope draws and compares two horoscopes. This allows for a base horoscope of a stock incorporation date or first trade date to be compared with the current trading day. You can compare the two charts to watch for important dates or you can use the Horoscope Index that is calculated and drwn in the center of the horoscope. To read more Click Here

MarketWarrior can also draw an Ephemeris chart. This chart shows the position of the planets over a period of time. Each line on the chart represents the longitude or declination of a planet. You set the starting date and the chart will draw the planet lines.
